Vegetable Garden | Radish Recipe | Vegetable Contest

Tell me 2 years ago I would be excited about a vegetable garden, and I would have laughed at you!  I love gardening now! I have been slowly starting plant things, this year in my tiny veggie garden I have cucumbers, squash, turnip, carrots, peas, green peppers, potatoes, onions, sunflowers, radishes, beets, broccoli and I think that’s it! For the garden size, I am squishing a lot in there.

Me and Mike attempted to hand till it, however, about 1/3^rd in we asked our friends to borrow their tiller, I am very thankful for Jenny and Cody for lending it to us! What would have taken hours of hard labour, took minutes with the tiller.

Also I heard that radishes planted help keep other bugs away! So to experiment I planted some, however, I am not a huge fan of eating a ton of radishes so I looked up recipes with radishes and apparently they are good cooked? I will post once they grow and I cook them:) Here is the recipe, if anyone has ever tired this or tries it let me know! 🙂

1. Preheat the grill for high heat.
2. Place the radishes, garlic, butter, and ice cube on a double layer of aluminum foil large enough to wrap contents. Season with salt and pepper. Tightly seal foil around contents.

Onion & Cheese Omlet
Also yesterday I made an omlet with onion tops!
1 onion top chopped fine
2 eggs
1/4 cup of milk
1/4 shredded cheese

It was awesome! Just fired the onion with a tiny bit of butter, mixed the milk and eggs, fried and flipped and added the cheese!
